Draft Environmental Impact Statement
Completed in January 2007, the draft environmental impact statement for the Bel-Red Corridor Project analyzed four land use and transportation alternatives for the area. The draft EIS assessed the impacts of four ways the area could develop between now and 2030 (three “action alternatives” and one “no-action alternative”).
Public input on the draft EIS, and the document itself, helped a 15-member project steering committee develop a preferred alternative in May of 2007. The steering committee was expected to then make a recommendation to the Bellevue City Council later this spring or summer.
The public comment period about the DEIS closed on March 12. The comments received are contained in the two volumes linked below. Responses to the comments will be part of the final EIS which will be posted this summer.
